Question New Person Looking For Advice!
Hello all,

First of all I am new to the site so hello to everyone and I hope I am not too much of a pest over the next few months.

This is a bit of a strange request! I have just handed in my notice in my current job as an IT Service Desk Analyst to start work as a Desktop Engineer within the same company (Although it will be a different office etc)

My current role involved project work and on-boarding/training new agents to our desk through a 4 week training plan I devised.

I have previous experience in working within a Desktop Support environment however; this was about 5 years ago.

I am going to be supporting around 120 users on NT4 Operating System. I will be the only Desktop Support onsite (I will have colleagues down in another part of the country)

I just want to know if anyone has any advice on how to approach this. I am terrible nervous as I will be on my own

Hi Lynz,

You've come to the right place if you ever need computer assistance although you already sound pretty experienced working with NT4. Btw that one's an oldie, I personally have liked Windows 2000 the best of them all and still use it whenever I can.
