Smile New To The Forums
Hello All,

I'm new to the forums and just wanted to introduce myself. Name is Kevin and I live in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho. I'm originally from Cambridge, Massachusetts and have over 10 years experience with PC hardware. I currently have my own small business and work for a medical company as their primary I.T. Support resource.

I hope to be around for quite some time and am happy to see such a talented and diverse group of computer geeks working together to solve other's issues or just goofing off.

Thanks!

Coeur d' Alene - I always wondered about that name. Thought it might be a mis taken version of Coeur de Leon, or something like that - "Heart of the Lion". It's been too long since I've taken French.

Welcome

You'll see lots of the goofing off here. And some philosophising, if you visit the black-whole that sucks up all your free time in the Community section.

LoL...Directory Assistance always butchers the name. It is French....from WikiPedia

Quote:
Translated from French Coeur d'Alene literally means "heart of the awl" which might mean "sharp-hearted" or "shrewd." Another possibility is that it is a corruption of Coeur de Leon, or Lion Heart. Others interpret "Heart of the Awl" to translate to "Eye of the Needle", perhaps referring to the narrow passage through which the lake empties into the Spokane River on its way to the Columbia.
So meh, not quite sure. Thanks for the warm welcome all!
