I try to use the same moniker in any forum I participate in, so if you come across this name elsewhere it is almost certainly me. Whilst I have long experience of the computer industry before 1993 (my BSc was in Computer Science at Brighton (UK) Polytechnic obtained in 1974) my knowledge of current software/hardware is limited.

Although this is only my second post to this site I have already spent too many hours exploring it. Any hints on how NOT to be addicted to this site?
