Well, here I am a year later, older and apparently not much wiser. Once again there is a thread in the Malware Removal forum where I'm begging for help from the over-worked volunteers. This time it is for my wife's Netbook. She's getting stressed as she has had to go without it since 6th October (twenty days since I raised the report... still no sign of a response although it has been read 105 times so far).

I've been reading some of the other threads in the forum and it is tempting to assume that I can understand how to fix it myself... but fortunately, I know how to resist temptation. Now, is there any way to turn up the heat on my thread? I wonder... clearly anyone with a partner who has been deprived of their PC will be aware of just how much tension it can create. The atmosphere in my house has been strained, the pressure is up, the mood is down... as it is in probably every house of everyone who raises a thread in that forum. Hmmmm, I'm not going to be able to tug at the heartstrings am I...

Oh well. I'm still here.
