Welcome, Mr Popov.

I heard a lot of things about you.
Is it true that you are a very handsome guy?
If so, you will date plenty of girls of this forum (the girls who were scared by my avatar will be fashinated by yours).

Definitely.
BTW, I learnt that porcupines climb trees. But I didn't learn it here!

I wonder why nobody told me before.
Nobody told me that washroom=bathroom, and that Canada is ruled by a minority Government, that poutin = chips+cheese...
I had to go there to know.

Why didn't people reply to my introduction writing "Nice to meet you Maestro Unico, BTW porcupine climb trees, Canada's present Government doesn't have the majority of the seats in the parliament, and you can see salmons in our rivers only if you happen to be in Canada in May/June?

Thanks PCcruncher.
I've learnt (or learned?) a new word; "clairvoyant".

It might be helpful in my forecasts.

BTW, nobody told me that the prices that people see in the Canadian shops DO NOT include taxes. In Europe we expect to pay exactly the price shown.

Besides, nobody told me WHY the prices that people see in the shops DO NOT include taxes.

I understand that the tax rates may differer, for example, in Quebec and in Ontario, but in my opinion it would be more helpful for a tourist (and for a local person) to know how much cash will he/she spend.

Is it the same in the United States of America, isn't it?

Other two questions:

1) What is the purpose of the grey/black plastic strip on the car front (see attachment)?
Nobody would put this on an European Yaris. Has it something to do with Canadian snow / weather?

2) I saw that in Quebec, cars have only one (rear) plate. In Ontario, BC and in the rest of the world (as far as I know) cars also have a front plate. Has this something to do with the fact the people living in Quebec feel "more European", "different", "I don't know"?

Anyway.
I found that Canadian people are INCREDIBLY friendly.
One day I stood with my family just watching a map, a guy saw us and asked where we wanted to go, explained where exactly we were, and how to get to our destination (without being asked!).

Some people "leave their heart in Canada", I would say. And there are many reasons.

Are there any Canadians in this forum? Can I virtually shake their hands?

Sorry, can't help on the first one.... usually they are used for bug/rock guards, but that car looks weird with it.......

2: Perhaps it is cheaper?
There are many states that only require one rear plate, such as:
Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia.

3: There are lots of Canadians on this forum, stick around to meet them!

So, you are touring Canada? Are you going to get to the states too? (Make sure to check out Washington, it's a great state! )

Enjoy your trip!

Very well! The question "why" remains unsolved, but Quebequians are not alone.

My other nickname Ignatius was appointed as photo-reporter.
The result is in an Italian Topic.

I see, I have to put gtranslate to work to see what you are saying, but very interesting anyway.
