Good Morning!
I picked up Linux about nine years ago, shortly after the release of XP, and have been dabbling with that since. Most of what I do now is in Debian and Ubuntu. I run a few servers of various things, mostly web/ftp and a java-based game server, for which my brother's a developer. I also tend to automate things in perl or bash. And I _very_ occasionally write some PHP to make a website, but that's mostly perl now, too.

Two years ago I got my first proper job, which is basically IT support in an entirely Windows network (currently entirely WinXP and Server03), and I've come across a whole bunch of things that I don't understand.

I've come here to pester you all with questions about why Windows users do things this way and why Windows is done like that, basically. I'm not after an OS war or anything, I just don't understand a lot of Windows...

Anyway, apologies in advance for the daft questions, and thanks in advance for the useful answers!
