Using Plop Boot Manager for USB Boot.

In my own use of plop boot manager, I have a P4 Intel board and BIOS that does not seem to like booting with just a USB and the BIOS set accordingly to boot before CD (I guess it matters whether or not you have a CD in the CD drive along with the USB plugged in when devices are detected on boot up), and when the USB starts to load, I remove the CD from its drive.

I have decided to use a SD card as my "virtual toolbox" for working on PCs. I have it split into three partitions:

Partition 1 contains portable applications for working from within Windows systems.
Partition 2 is marked as a bootable partition containing a hybrid GRML live system.
Partition 3 is a storage area for scripts and other things which I would need while using GRML.

I decided to use an SD card because I got kind of tired fo re-creating my "toolbox" each time I worked on an infected Windows system. The fact taht my 8 GB SD card has a physical write protect switch is a huge plus for me. I also pruchaed an external USB card reader, but it is not detected by my personal system at boot. I have never heard of Plop until your posting it, so I am going to give it a shot and see if it will let me boot to GRML.
