While upgrading my computer to the latest version of unbunti, I Recieved this error message:

Ubunti is running in low-graphics mode

Your screen, graphics card,and input device settings could not be detected corredtly. You will need to confiqure them yourself. Ok

When I try to push the ok button I have no mouse capacity. When I reboot I get the same error message each time... I have tried some prompts while in safemode. Still no progress the error message is the same. I have very limted skills in fixing this problem. Can you help?

Can I restore my computer to before this last upgrade?

Hi and welcome,
Ubuntu has no 'system restore' function built in. What version of Ubuntu were you starting from?
The latest stable version is 12.04, the newest is 12.10 but that's still in 'Beta' (development) at the moment.

Could you clarify please?

I have had unbunti from the begininng 2.38 etc
They asked me to do an install updates. I did . It was 11.?

I think your best option would be to download Ubuntu 12.04, burn the .iso to CD and boot from that. Use that disc to back up all your important docs, pics rtc to an external hard drive. Then if your hardware supports it - install Ubuntu 12.04. If your hardware's not up to it I suggest using Lubuntu 12.04 which is designed for lower specs.

I have been learning a lot about Unbuntu the last three days. I ended up by trial and error in the terminal. I have a working 10.12 of Ubuntu and best of all I didn't lose anything !!!
