How to Install Java
I have an HP desktop with Linux ubuntu OS. I have been playing Hearts until I was informed that the Java on my computer was a security risk and it was disabled. I have been trying to reinstall it without success.

This is the message I get when I go to the Hearts site:

"The game cannot be played with your current settings" and it has a site to click on to install Java. When I try to install Java, it eventually takes me to a place that says, "The package you requested will install shortly," but it never does. How do I enable a new version of Java so that I can play Hearts again?

PS - When I tried to download the TSG Sysinto, I got a message box in the Archive Manager site that said, "an error occurred while loading the archive."

Look for Java Jre Linux in their downloads, they may require you to compile & install it.

Alternatively, If you have Ubuntu 12.04 go to the software center & find Jre

Jre = (Java Runtime Environment) will allow you to run java apps.
