Linux security
Hello everyone! I am running Ubuntu 12.04 (Precise Pangolin) for quite awhile now but recently i have been told about new malware that threatens all Linux OS's. So could someone help me make my Ubuntu desktop more secure please. Thanks all

Run the ubuntu software installer and search for clam.
There should be something like clamav listed there.
That is clam antivairus.
Install that.

Check this for more info on firewalls.............
