question about pppoe
I got RH 7.3 a week or so ago and have been trying to get my internet connection up and running ever since. My eth0 interface works great BUT, my ISP requires me to use special software to create a pppoe connection to get to the net.

As it so happens they have something called EnterNet 100 for Linux that they are willing to sell me for $29.99.
All sales final + NO REFUNDS + no individual end-user tech-support = B.S.!

Is there anyway around this??

hmm..no luck, I entered in all the required info and i'm 99% sure it's right, but when I type adsl-start, the cursor goes to the next line, prints a period and the computer hangs.(I waited several minutes to be sure it wasn't just trying to connect and rebooted to check adsl-status and it said this:

cant read PID file in /var/run/pppoe.conf-adsl.pid )
