choice of linux distribution
Hi

I am wondering if anyone knows of a linux distribution that may be specific to my needs. I have a small network that has an XP machine managing the Internet connection and acting as a firewall. I have had nothing but trouble with this network so I went and bought a cheap computer to load linux on, which I intend to do the following:

1. Act as an Internet gateway / firewall for the other computers on the network.

2. Manage DHCP for the network.

3. Run the (holy) trinity, Apache / PHP / MySql.

A friend has mentioned at least one distribution (sorry the name escapes me) that will do the first two options but that is all it will do. I am not completely inexperienced with linux and have used several of the major distributions, Debian, Redhat etc.

Without any better ideas I would probbaly lean towards using Debian, but I am thinking that there is probably something a little more streamlined for my needs that I am unaware of.

Any ideas?

Thx, grahowler

The two distros you mention would work fine:they are(along with SuSE)probably more geared toward what you're setting out to do.
