Unhappy RH 8.0 booting up linux fpr first time
Hey!

I just installed Red Hat 8.0 on my computor and the install went smoothly, but now when it ask's me for the login i login as root and i type startx and it says;

Fatal IO error 104 (connection reset by peer) on X server ":0.0

..so i type XFree86 and it says;

Fatal server error:
No screens found

When reportin a problem related to a server crash, please send the full server output, not just the last messages. This can be found in the log file "/var/log/XFree86.0.log".
Please report problems to xfree86@xfree86.org

and the usual prompt plop up..

root@localhost root]#

Someone said to be logging in as root aint good so i type'd useradd Henqe and then there was a new prompt.. well what the heck should i do now?

Sounds like your X-windows need working on.You have to get some info on your video system:
video card chipset
your monitor's horizontal and vertical sync rate
and type of mouse
Did you try to set up X-windows during installation?
I think the command to use in Redhat is Xconfigurator which gives you a step-by-step approach.
To use the useradd command you have to be root.Type:
useradd -r henge
You'll be prompted for a password twice.
