Question Installing Mandrake 9
Hi all,
First thank you for participating. I am having a problem installing any Linux os on my Western Digital hard drive. It is a 30gb that was running wme then w2k. I have tried installing Mandrake 9, suse 7.3, and Redhat and this is the error message that I receive each time: hdb:suprious 8259A interupt: IRQ7. Anyone with any suggestions. Thank you.

Try going to www.mandrakesoft.com and clicking on Mandrake Expert. Type spurious 8259 interrupt into the question box, and review the results. Mandrake suggests that this problem can sometimes be cured by using an alternate boot kernel (alt2).

Hope this helps.
