Never used the retail version of RH so I never thought about registering.I knew they had the RH Network thing but was unaware of the "entitlements"
.I assume you must register to receive updates? That's not free is it?How many "entitlements" do you have left?
You might be able to update by downloading RPM Package Groups individually.

Glad you found a web browser you like. How's Java and Flash working on Opera?Ok?
I've tried it and others but always go back to Mozilla

wazzup LYCH!!!!!!!!!!!!
You was wright about those other browsers, cause like you i'm back to (hate to say it) mozilla again.Opera is fine but,how come my fonts are kinda messed up?And sometimes or i should say almost all the time i have to zoom in on those tiny words so i can even see them, hey buddy do you know if theres a fix for it?And ya i just finally installed "java, but i don't like that flashplayer,so that wasn't installed.Or i should say "yet".Hey Lynch i have some questions i need to ask you.1-I just installed "sawfish" and when i try to run it in the terminal it says i only can use one wm,how do i disable my "nautilus " to use the other one?
2-My "opera" when i try to enable the java its telling me it might crash, and if i know what i'm doing set it to "1" was your opera like that?
3- And most important THANKZ BUDDY?

Apt-get works with rpm's. You can download an apt-get rpm from rpmfind.net.

The commands to get your system updated, once apt is installed are,

apt-get update
apt-get upgrade

There is a more to apt then that but that should get you started.

Is there a particular part of the system you are expecting to notice a difference? If there is something specific you could query the rpm database. If it's not something specific: are you sure it did not update? There are times (often) when you receive an update that gives no physical indication that the program was updated.

When you run apt-get upgrade the program will tell you what rpms it is downloading and installing. There are also cases where apt cannot upgrade a particular package because of unresolved dependencies.
