Can't use scrollwheel on Logitech mouse, and can't use mouse in USB slot
In Windows XP, my mouse won't work in the PS/2 slot. In Mandrake 9.1 Beta 3, it won't work in the USB slot.
Which means I have to switch the mouse around whenever I change OS's, which is a pain to do.
Also, I can't use my scrollwheel, and I've tried every solution I've seen on the net, and none worked.

I have my ps/2 Logitech scrollmouse(s) working SuSE 8.1 and Mandrake 9.Look at the /etc/x11/xf86config file and compare the relevant section "InputDevice" for your mouse,to mine:
Code:
Section "InputDevice"
  Driver "mouse"
  Identifier "Mouse[1]"
  Option "ButtonNumber" "5"
  Option "Device" "/dev/mouse"
  Option "Name" "Autodetection"
  Option "Protocol" "imps/2"
  Option "Vendor" "Sysp"
  Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
EndSection
The parts in bold type are whats needed to get the scroll wheel to work. Here's a simple howto to use.
There is no good reason why the ps/2 mouse wont work in XP Maybe download the XP drivers for your mouse?
HTH
