Hi everyone.

I have a small intranet with 5 Linux Red Hat 7.3 servers installed, those servers are in different cities and Remote (roaming) users are accessing them using modems (ppp)

My question is, How can I validate them from the central server?

I would like to avoid the creation of a duplicated account on each server, and no matter if the user calls to the number in Toronto or in Vancouver, they should be authenticated by the HQ server.

The servers are connected with links of 1 MB each.

You might want to look into OpenLDAP. Here's a link to the site... http://www.openldap.org/ LDAP is where MS's 'innovative' Active Directory comes from. Hope this helps!
