I am on Windows XP and I don't think it's that good because i think it uses to much RAM and games run slower can my PC take redhat and will it run games like Half-Life - Counter-Strike?

Not natively, those games aren't designed for linux but there are emulators you can use to run windows software on linux, however its not very reliable.

I think Windows is for me if it can't play games I will just get ASUS 3.0GHz 800MHz FBS, 2GB RAM, and GeForce FX 5900 Ultra.

So I can play Doom 3
