This is the first time ever in my live i use linux.. totally newbie..

I've managed to install Mandrake 9.1 in my XP system, and make it boots from floppy each time my system starts... and let me choose OS from there (what is the name, LILO?)

Now I've decided to install mandrake 9.1 to my other PC (no Windows), removing Mandrake from my system, and restore my system the way it used to be (w/o boot from floppy: go straight to XP).

What should I do? Use FDISK? Or PartitionMagic? i am afffrrraaaaaaiiidd that i could somehow wipe off all my data...

If I use "fdisk /mbr" in a dos prompt, would my data be wiped off?

All fdisk/mbr does is rewrite the master boot record to it's original configuration;you wont lose any data.Check out the 1st link in my signature.
