2 Questions
1.I have Mozilla 1.4 on Red Hat 9,and I'd like Times New Roman as the default font for Mozilla, instead of whatever font comes default. How can I do that?

2.When I try to launch wine,I get

[Andrew@Baltazar Andrew]$ wine
wine: chdir to /tmp/.wine-Andrew/server-305-d285c : No such file or directory

What does that mean, and how can I fix it?I haven't been playing around with wine at all.

You can change the fonts in Mozilla by going to the menu bar and clicking Edit>Preferences>and uncheck the "+" sign on Appearance to open it up.There will be a fonts option there you can click on.
Never used wine so I'll let someone who has answer the 2nd Q.
