how do I play mp3's and other sounds from radio stations, etc..
Im using Redhat 9 and Im new to this and should I install a new player I hear that realplayer can be used with lunix now where can I get it.
From what I understand there are patent issues involved with mp3 technology, so redhat doesn't include it (i'm not certain of this, though). 123? I have mpg321 installed, I don't know if that's the same thing, but it works fine for playing mp3's from the command line... probably not what you're looking for though...
i know on openbsd systems if you install xmms it does not include mpg123 plugins either you need to cd into the output-plugins dir and run make mpg123 install
