Linux 9 installation on sony z505ls using External CD-ROM
Hello all,
I am completely new to linux. In fact, I am trying to install version 9 on my laptop and I am having problems already.
After the installation starts, it looks like first the USB drivers are installed and then the firewire drivers. After this, nothing.... The installation just stops. I tried using the "linux noprobe" command, but that seems to have a problem with finding and loading the driver for the CD-Rom drive, which by the way is an original Sony CD-ROM, so it should be recognized.

Hmmm, Can anyone help?
