Question Little Windows Button...
This is a pretty silly question but I have to ask it... Is there any way I can add functionality to the little Windows button on my keyboard? Specifically I am using Redhat 8 and KDE 3, and I'd like to be able to make it pop up the main menu (like it does in Windows )

You might try going to control center->look and feel->shortcuts and try mapping your windows key to the action you'd like it to perform (popup the main menu -- which I take to mean the launch menu, default keystroke of ALT-F1 in KDE, I think).

Hope this helps.

It wants something else to go along with the "win" key, but thanks for showing me that... ALT-F1 works fine, no need to be too picky ;-) Oh, and yeah, the launch menu; didn't know exactly what that was called. Thanks again.

Nice work! -- glad to hear things are working for you. I think you could also re-map the Windows key (which generates something like ESC or CNTL, I think) to generate ALT-F1, which would take care of things in KDE for you. Ah, so many tweaks, so little time () ...
