Cable modem not working
HI

I have cable internet and I can't seem to get my Toshiba PCX2500 modem to work as far as I can tell the connection from the modem to the computer is failty. My computer spec's are in the bottom.

Need to know the layout of the connection:
For instance,mine is lan>router>cable modem>internet.
Are you on a network?
Is your ethernet card enabled?
Are you using a router or trying to make ICS work.
Need details.

Also, with the toshiba modems, you can try to get to an address of 192.168.100.1 in your browser window. If DHCP is working correctly and you have some type of IP, you should get the modem's internal pages.

If you want more troubleshooting info, try:

If you want more info about your modem try:

PS: The troubleshooting link may be more geared towards windows, but can give you hints for what direction to go in.

I am on a single connection computer>modem internet and fixed the malfuction by reinstalling the drivers several time and reconfiguring the ethernet cards each time. Thank you both for your help.
