forgotten password-red hat

Anybody help?
Dual boot system of xp & linux red hat.
If I boot to linux it asks me for a username and passwork.
It's been that long since I used it I have forgotten my details.
Is there any way to find them without having to re-install linux.

Boot into single user mode.. that should enable you to change it..
unless you set your terminal to insecure.. but i doubt you did that..

you might also want to try booting off the cd and mounting the drive my hand and changing your password that way
