Samba server not available
Have created a samba server "sbserver01" with my workgroup "sbp" and shared folder, but when I try connecting to it in windows I get:
\\Sbserver01 is not accessible.
The network path was not found.

I have used webmin to customise samba

Any suggestions?

DESPERATE.

I have done everything I can think of, and still it's not working.

This is an RH9 system with samba 2.2.7a-7.9.0.

I have a simple, yet working, Mandrake system with samba 2.2.0 at home, so I have changed the smb.conf to match that, but still it is not working.

I can see the server sbserver01 in the windows workgroup list along with the other windows machines connected and I can see their shares. I have NetBIOS enables.

The config file looks like this:

[global]
path = /var/spool/samba
smb passwd file = /etc/samba/smbpasswd
printing = cups
auto services = shared_cd
dns proxy = no
null passwords = yes
encrypt passwords = yes
socket options = TCP_DELAY SO_RCVBUF=8192 SO_SNDBUF=8192
printcaps name = cups
max log size = 50
security = share
server string = Samba Server
workgroup = sbp
log file = /var/log/samba/log.%m
netbios name = sbserver01
load printer = no
default = sbserver01

[sbserver01]
path = /sb_server_01
writeable = yes
comment = SB Server
public = yes

I am desparately looking for an answer, please can someone help.

Ignore this thread, I am a complete and utter arse. Having turn firewalling off, I must have re-enabled it at some time.
