Question about WinRAR
Can anyone please help me with installin/using winRAR in linux. or if this is not possible, any other compression tools that will recognize rar tar and other compression files that are not zip. (please in simplest language possible: im still new to Red Hat and linux in general)

Well, the "Ark" program handles .zip, .tar.gz, and .rar, and might be installed on your system already. Are there any other formats you need?

You would have to get an "ark" rpm and then install it. THen procede to read the manual by typing in "man ark"... if that doesnt solve yor problems then please come back!
