well, its good advice cause its completely true! I had just burned Mandrake Linux 9.2 on a CD and i checked to see if it was working cause the computer i was installing it on wasnt quite ready yet, i forgot that the boot sequence contained the CDROM and it started setting up, i quickly removed one of the disks from my CD burner (SONY CD-RW) but the one in my other drive wouldnt come out. I switched off my computer and when i started it up it froze! i had to remove my CD drive from my computer and then let it start up. The CD drive litterally got fried, it doesnt even light up now if i plugged it in and started up the computer, luckily it was only an LG, 12x and that i still have my other drive (and yup my computer is a Dell)
