Here is a list of Live Linux CD's. Most people prefer Knoppix. http://www.distrowatch.com/dwres.php?resource=cd
I would also see if you have a local Tech college that offers classes in Unix or Linux. I can't believe you chose SCO. Someone is going to flame you for that. | | Senior Member with 1,058 posts. | | Join Date: Jul 2002 Location: India | | LwdSquashman i don't want to use live CD. If you can tell me the command for installing or any step by step guide on the net then i will be very grateful to you. | | Distinguished Member with 14,983 posts. | | Join Date: Apr 2003 Location: 1265 Lombardi Ave Experience: IIAHYAYCESA,YAADA! | | | | | Senior Member with 1,058 posts. | | Join Date: Jul 2002 Location: India | | After I generate a "new PC" with Virtual
PC for windows 5.2 ,insert a normal SCO Unix
5.05 installation CD,the machine can boot through this CD successfully, next I find that the install procedure is stopped(can not continue)at testing the CD,and the picture always flash among the whole process.I ensure my CD is good.
Who can tell me the failure reason, please. I search few forums i find out the answer Virtual pc not support unix but it support linux ,netware, bsd, windows 2003 then why not unix. I think it can support. I too was wondering if it support SCO Unix. You might have better luck using Vmware. There is a free alternative to Vmware on sourceforge, I just cannot remember the name of it right now. My buddy was telling me about it the other day. | | Distinguished Member with 2,051 posts. | | Join Date: Nov 2002 Location: Alberta, Canada Experience: Windows: Decent.
