I have red hat linux anyone know how to format it
I have the operating system red hat linx. does anybody know how to format it. dont want it on my computer needed it for school.

This thread may help: http://forums.techguy.org/showthread...hreadid=123361 Basically what you will need to do is to remove all Linux partitions (including swap) and remove whatever Linux bootloader you may have installed (LILO, grub, whatever). Of course, you can also perform a low-level format of the drive using a utility from the manufacturer (Maxtor provides MaxBlast/MaxDiag for example), assuming that Linux is the only O/S on the drive and you don't want to retain any information.
