my question is,

When you are finished burning the ISO, the cd will be bootable. | | Senior Member with 421 posts. | | | | Quote: Originally posted by Whiteskin: From linux? | sory for the confusion

How do you create a bootflopy.?
trying to install using a Harddrive(without burning CD). | | Distinguished Member with 2,051 posts. | | Join Date: Nov 2002 Location: Alberta, Canada Experience: Windows: Decent. Unix/Linux: Advanced +1 | | 99% chance that you will end up having to burn the cd. The only way i can think of doing it without burning a cd (And excluding a net install, cause redhat doesnt do those) would be to somehow extract the image to a small dos partition, then point the installler to the cdrom.
And to creat a boot floppy you use rawrite or fdimage. | | Senior Member with 421 posts. | | | | Ok, all the downloaded ISOs has defects, when checked with md5 program?

#10 | Having download errors is not at all uncommon (although many folks don't bother to check for them). It only takes one bit (literally!) to make a download less than perfect -- and unfortunately, there's no easy way to determine where the error might be -- and you aren't necessarily doing anything wrong (the internet is inherently unreliable). The only solution I know of is to try downloading again, until you get a perfect copy.
Hope this helps.

#12 | Good for you. Though, it might be advisable to upgrade all packages, just incase somthing vital has an interesting memory leak or somthing. | | Senior Member with 421 posts. | | |
