Which distribution?
Hi.

Im new to the linux game and was wondering what distribution would be best for just getting used to the way linux works.

Itll be running on and old 266Mhz pentium w/mmx and 96mb of ram.

hmm since your new to the linux game you'll want to probably first try knoppix (a live cd linux) that will get your feet wet without plunging in head first. If you like it iyou can install it fully, and its a debian base so its fairly common.

IF you enjoy knoppix and want to try another linux, suse and or mandrake are good to play with

You might have trouble using Knoppix on that old of a system. If you do, try PuppyLinux.

Knoppix would definatly work on that, abeit a little slowly. All you need to do is change the DE and add a swap file.
