I need some help installing nvidia drivers on my system I am running slackware 9.1 (I haven't used linux in almost a year).

I run the nvidia installer and it says I have to precompiles kernel


ERROR: Unable to determine the NVIDIA kernel module filename.

Try making sure you have the kernel sources installed.

yes.....you must probably need the source codes inorder to complete the nvidial kernel module for slackware...

i have the nvidia drivers installed on all my linux network boxes...

yeah i installed the source, from my slack CD,

do you think i migh thave use dthe wrong source or something.

i tried doing sh nvidiainstaller --kernel-source-path /usr/src/linux-2.4.4


but nothing
