Right. I hear that the "official" isos will not be free till next monthish. Download community, then use (urpmi... is that right mdk users?), to upgrade packages. (Might want to just heft the box over to your friends house Lan party!

Use this link, as it checks ftp mirrors automagically. The thing with mdk is that they hold out on the latest and greates unless you subscribe, or want to play around with mkcd. Not that i begrudge them, as they do need to make money, and from what i hear put out an excellent product.

according to the mandrakesoft website the official ISO's won't be out for donwload until early may. but it's late april so it might be out there.

Just go community. Its close to the same (Though, dont go cooker. Cooker is insanely NEW. )

Mandrake has removed 10 C from most of the mirrors but you could try here
To update it you can use Mandrake Control Center:
Click the star> system> configuration> configure your computer> software> updates.
You can get urpmi setup nicely using this .
Since I've been running 10C, I've downloaded about 1GB of updates.

Ouch. 1 gig of updates. Of course, i probably do the same in a month running debian unstable.
