k3b is pretty cool. I've saved data from botched Windows installations with
Knoppix/Overclockix live CD's.

Everyone should have a LiveCD for maintenance and disaster recovery.

at the ftp download site it says that you need to download 2 folders. the Mandrake, and Image Folders. http://www.mandrakelinux.com/en/ftp.php3

If you burn boot.iso, as an iso image, then you can do a net install. Net installs are usually the best way to go, as it gives you the newest packages and bugfixes.

Ahh. Ok, so you need here. http://linuxiso.org/distro.php?distro=29

Check out those mirrors, and make sure that you get the OFFICIAL Version, not community. COmmunity is an older release.
