SuSE Linux 8.1 Pro

hello, i just borrows a copy of SuSE Linux 8.1 pro from my friend but when it installs it it says it cant resize the HD or if i fiddle with the options it will start to install but wont move off 10% does anyone understand??? plzz help

You have an NTFS partition. 8.1 will not resize that. Try the 9.1 netinstall cd, or prepartition it.

9.1 netinstall is a small iso that you can burn in order to install Suse off of the internet. Seems kind of self explanitory. As for prepartitioning, you can use partition magic, or some of the other free ones (Cant think of one now... i know there is one).
