I have fedora installed, and cannot reach the network... I did however for one session manage to connect, then after the restart it wouldn't connect...
to get connected, I did a lot of point and click configurations. I deleted all the network devices and let the connection wizard find them again... It worked and I was happy... But then after the restart it wouldn't connect again, and I am unable to follow the same steps to get it connected...
Original symptom was unable to assign address in DHCP so I tried static ip from my Linksys using the same settings as my windows machine... it accepted it and activated but I was then unable to ping out to anything, including the gateway... and I switched my network card to the 3c900 boomerang configuration, switched it back to DHCP then when I activated it, it worked... but like I just said, only for one session... as soon as I rebooted it was gone...
If I get it up again, I will save settings when I reboot...
I am going to continue trying but I will check back for answers often...
I would really like to get my network back up!
Does anyone have some good instruction for me?
Thanks a ton...
