xfree difficulties
when i try to edit x with XF86Config and the root file /etc/x11 and /usr/X11R6/etc/X11. i tried these all and all variations in root and it didnt reconize any od the commands....??? anybody know what to do? i just have basic x with just a bash box. why can't i have this... https://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/...interface.html

vi /etc/X11/XF86Config ? That's where the file should be exactly

nah..go to your /etc/X11 directory and look for XF86Config..there 2 others that are for it I'll have to find them though

I'll have to look at my laptop give me a few to boot it up

Try then to look for XF86Config-4 and to edit it;
XFree v4.x it's using XF86Config-4.

hey liviu do you have any good links to how to's on redhat. i want to know how to do basic functions. i dont even know how to get on the internet with the setup i have now i have to switch over to xp ... there is more to redhat right it's not just a command line operating system???
