AIM needs the libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2 library and you don't have it installed on your system.

Try going to http://www.rpmfind.net and searching for an rpm that contains the libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2 library.

If you're having trouble with the dependencies (I always get mixed up in them) and you don't need the specific client, have you tried gaim? Many distros include it, and it's better than the AIM client anyway, IMO...

This is the easy way out, but if you will install netscape for Linux aol is included. Learning to find and install dependencies is still a good idea though. It will help you in the future.

sounds like you're using Mandrake 10... I had this problem earlier and typed in that lib....rpm in google and found it in a matter of minutes. But I'm yet to install it. Stick with Gaim newayz, AIM for Linux is a horrid piece of doodoo
