Replacing Windows 98 to LINUX
We have Red Hat LINUX 7, is it a good idea to replace Windows 98 with this?

Well, like always...

It depends.
Why are you replacing your windows 98?
Do you have any Linux experience and the will to figure things out?
Are you sure the software exists to do what you want to do in Linux?

I'm pretty stupid. I went ahead and put Linux on. I logged on and it said my account expired. Nothing else worked, so I put Windows 98 back on. Oh Well.

It is a little hard for someone to dive right into Linux if all they know is Windows. If you have a local Technical College in your area, check to see if they teach a class on it. Mine teaches a Introduction class and an Advanced class.

If you want to continue to try Linux, download one of the newer versions from http://www.linuxiso.org. Red Hat 7 is kind of old now. But in its defense, version 7.2 was pretty damn good. You may want to start with Mandrake. People tell me that is the easiest to learn on.
