I have 2 interesting links to HowTo's ; reading them (it's step-by-step description) you'll learn something:

How to dual boot W2K/XP and Linux using LILO or Grub :
http://www.linuxorbit.com/modules.ph...icle&artid=470

Or a 2nd alternative, for Win NT/2k/XP-Linux dual boot is:

You got to the grub prompt, not a linux prompt. How did you install Red Hat? As a dual-boot on the same drive as windows or a seperate drive?
You need to tell us more about how you set things up:
> Red Hat version and how you obtained it ie., download, retail etc.
>windows version
> how many hard drives involved
The info you supplied us isnt enough to pinpoint the problem, though if you get a grub prompt, somthing to do with how you went about installing Red Hat is a good starting point.
Did you ever have both OSs running, or just windows?
