NEC ND2510A not working with K3B
I've just installed a NEC ND2510A Dual Layer DVD writer into my compter running Mandrake 9.2.
Mandrake recognises the new drive but when I start a new project in K3B it doesn't offer a DVD option.

Anyone go any ideas?

I doubt that the version of k3b that came with MDK 9.2 has support for dual-layer DVD drives. The drives came out after that release of MDK.
You might try getting the latest versions of k3b/DVD+RW-tools or try upgrading to a new version with the 2.6.x kernel.

I'm planning to buy a ND2510A and use mdk 9.2. Did the drive work after an upgrade to mdk 10?
