What commands in Linux can be used to set CLUI text font, size, colour and background colour and cursor position similar to the meta and escape character strings in DOS

OH MY GOD. Why are people so obsessed with colortext, whether its in games or anything. Just stick with one color man.

But I use a program that does it for me so that I dont have to remember the ANSI escape sequences. It is called Color and it listed at the bottom of the link I provided.

Since I cannot PM or email you, I would like to know what your problem is with Colorizing text in scripts.

It is no different then alot of the Setup utilities that Red Hat uses from the command line. They use Dialog boxes and color for that.
