mandrake 10 help needed ( no screens error )

Having an issue after doing update to MandrakeLinux 10 version.
Boot up to login now
startx gives error ( NO SCREEN(s) FOUND )

can anyone shed some light on this ??

I have attempted to reconfig ( xf86config ) and still gives same error

******************** T H E F I X ***********************************

log in as root,
then go as " su "
type in mcc
reconfigure video/monitor(refreshrate) and resolution
test it and voila ! ! ! ! !
