Cain't load Fedora
I downloaded Fedora FC2 and burned it to CD's.
I have a computer with no OS and I set the boot priority to the CD drive and when I try to install Fedora I get the following message...

Reboot and select the proper boot device
or Insert Proper boot media in the selected device.

I have the CD selected in the Bios and it starts up but does not find what it needs to continue.

It appears that the CD is not reading the Fedora disk one. Something is missing hope you can help.

Thanks

Did you test the ISO image of Fedora Core 2 before burning it?

You do a md5sum check in the Command Line of Windows of the image you downloaded and see if it matches the MD5Sum numbers. If it doesn't match, that means that the image you downloaded is corrupt (and will not boot).

Edit: I also burn the ISO at the slowest speed the CD burner allows to ensure a proper image on the CD.

I checked them against the check sum and they were correct. I have set the bios to boot from the CD Rom. I reburned the disc 1 using the iso of nero. Is there something in using the ISO that needs to be special set. So far no luck.

Well I assume that you used nero to open the .iso file? not just burned the .iso file to the disc?

if you have two or more cdrom drives phyiscally installed, try unplugging one of them so that your BIOS only sees one drive, and only has that one option to boot from.
It may be confused as to which cdrom drive to boot off of if you have 2

Did you burn the image or did you copy the iso to the cd. What files are on the cd?

I just figured out and tested the theory. Nero has a burn image function and I burned disk 1 and it now works. Lwdsquashman you were going toward that. If it is a good image it has many files. The ISO is just one file. Thanks for the help.
