Question IPcop, problem w/keyboard setting passwords
I have installed IPcop 1.3 on a spare machine to try it as a firewall.
I have installed it 3 times now, but when I get to the configure the root, setup, and admin passwords.... it will not recognize anything but the tab and enter keys!!?? Anyone have any ideas?? I have the keyboard mapped to the "us" version, so I think that it is mapped, but not 100% sure of any of this. I can spell Linux, and really versed in "Windows", but.... this is new to me. Any help is Greatly Appreciated!!

I assume your going through the setup of it in mozilla or the like? if not O_o

http://www.ipcop.org/1.3.0/en/admin/html/ <---i assume you've looked at the documentation about how to set it up?

http://www.ipcop.org/1.4.0/en/install/html/ or this one for the inital setup.

Also what distro are you using?

P.S I also assume you know that linux does not echo any passwords you type in for it? This is a security measure. You won't see any ******

Thanks! I did not know that it did not echo the passwords! That is more than likely what it is, but the cursor does not move when you type a letter either. I will try it now.

2 out of 3 works now!
Ok, the password setup worked on "root" and "setup" but not on "Admin" what is the "admin logon"? I was assuming that it was "Admin" and then the password but I keep getting "Login incorrect". This version of IPcop is 1.3 and nothing else is on the hard drive. I installed it off of the cd from the .iso file.

Thanks!
