Solved: Power Management in Mandrake 10
I'm a Linux newbie (less than 24 hours), so this is probably gonna be a very fundamental question. How do I access the power management settings in Mandrake Linux 10? For instance, I want to use a screensaver, but instead of the ss staying on, the monitor will just shut off after about 10 minutes. I've looked around in the monitor, desktop, and other similiar settings, but I've found nothing. Also, checking the "Make screensaver aware of power management" button hasn't done anything either.

You need to tweak your DPMS settings. Open KDE Control Center and go to Power Control> Display Power Control. Use the slide bars to adjust the settings.

And for advanced PM you may want to look into the mandrake documentation on ACPI/APM
