Success!!!
I am now running a Linux OS!In fact am posting this on the linux machine.

Got pass the ISO file copy problem with that Power Toy program and am now running "Damn Small Linux" from a live CD. Will be trying out a few live CD's over the next several days and see what I like.

Thanks to everyone for their help.

Well that's nice. DSL is a little basic, nice, but doesn't show off what linux can do. I'd look into Knoppix, or if you know what kind of things you'd love to do on linux, chances are there's a live CD to do just that. (I know of forensics, audio mastering, network securinty live cds.

There are a few live distros that you can have a look at. Most famouse being Knoppix with 3.6 the latest release.

The other are SuSE Live, Gnoppix 0.8 (very cool looking, GNOME on Knoppix which KDE), MEPIS, etc. I would like you to have look at Knoppix and Gnoppix.
