Compiling wireless nic driver
Attempting to compile the ipw2200-0.19 driver. When I issue the "make" command here is the output:

make -C /lib/modules/2.6.7/build SUBDIRS=/mnt/sda1/ipw2200-0.19 MODVERDIR=/mnt/sda1/ipw2200-0.19 modules
make{1}: Entering directory /linux/usr/src/linux-2.6.7
make{1}: ***No rule to make target modules. Stop.
make{1}: Leaving directory /linu/usr/src/linu-2.6.7
make: ***{modules} Error 2

do you have your sources? (and remember, many distros have precompiled drivers.)

When Mepis boots up I'm seeing the ipw2200 driver loaded when detecting pci devices but when I issue iwconfig I get eth0 no wireless extensions and eth1 no wireless extensions. Dmesg | grep ipw2200 and lsmod | grep ipw2200 does not find the driver. I've also copied the driver from Sourge-Force and have it on a flash drive. I'm trying to get it to /usr/src to untar. No luck so far. Any help would be appreciated. I would like to connect to the internet using wireless nic card using Mepis. I'm duel booting with xp and xp is connecting to the internet wirelessly on same notebook. I running Mepis from a cd.
