Enabling USB 2.0 support on HP Proliant ML 570 G2 server loaded with Red Hat Linux
Hi !

I have loaded Red Hat Linux AS 3.0 on an HP Proliant ML 570 G2 server. The server comes with support for USB 1.1 (legacy support). I need to enable USB 2.0 support on the server as some of the devices (DAT drives, CD ROM and DVD drive) are with USB 2.0.

Please advise.

Regards,

V K Rao

You'll need to rebuild the kernel, enabling EHCI support (in usb support). If you don't know how, this is the howto. (check /proc for config or config.gz. If it's present, you can use your known-to-work configuration + EHCI support added) http://www.digitalhermit.com/linux/K...ild-HOWTO.html
